That’s not all that surprising considering the big role the Chaos Emeralds played in Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2 earlier this year, and their prominent role in the Sonic media. From everything that Sega has released so far, it seems to be coming to the conclusion that the Chaos Emeralds play a key role in Sonic Frontiers. The trailer above shows how the Chaos Emeralds have been used to transform into Sonic. The last episode of the Tails Tube series ended with the announcement that Sonic and Tails were leaving for the Starfall Islands after a signal was found related to the Emeralds of Chaos.
